Penfolds 'BIN 707' Cabernet Sauvignon 1997 Vintage Label!

What would make the 707 great in my opinion would be a judicious injection of small quantities of other varieties to add complexity. This is because there is arguably a limit to how much complexity you can achieve with 100% Cabernet and 100% new American oak. That is the difference between Pichon Lalande – and Latour – and Bin 707.

The Australian Wine Companion (James Halliday) – Rated 92 Points
“Dark purple-red; a wine which continues that high-toned, lusciously aromatic fruit of the ’96, with some cedary oak. There is plenty of weight and stuffing to the palate, where cassis and vanilla intermingle, rounded off with lingering tannins.”
